Claire Reneé is a movement artist, singer/songwriter, wellness educator, and certified Yin Yoga instructor who believes in creating space for rest, reflection, and connection through intentional movement. Her journey began at Dance Theatre of Harlem and continued at the Professional Performing Arts School in New York City, where she trained in the Alvin Ailey/PPAS program. There, she built a strong foundation in modern and ballet techniques, was introduced to Pilates and kinesiology, and deepened her understanding of the body as a powerful instrument for expression and healing.
Her training spans Horton, Graham, and Limon-based modern techniques, contemporary ballet, Hip-Hop, street jazz, and popping. She gained commercial dance experience in campaigns and live performances, while also stepping into the role of educator, teaching middle and high school students through University Settlement’s Beacon Program in the Lower East Side. This early chapter in her teaching journey further affirmed her commitment to making movement accessible across generations and communities.
Over the years, her passion for movement evolved into a love of teaching, leading her to spend five impactful years as an esteemed instructor at SoulCycle—one of the most recognized names in boutique fitness—teaching in both New York and Los Angeles before becoming certified in Yin Yoga in 2020.
Claire’s approach blends movement, music, and mindfulness. As a singer-songwriter, she was featured in a special month-long collaboration with Y7 Studio. The Y7 team and CEO invited her to guide a community Yin Yoga class at their Silverlake location.
Through Claire’s Wellness Corner, she offers yoga flows, stretch routines, and reflections that invite people back to themselves: body, breath, and spirit. While her space is open to everyone, her work is especially rooted in creating accessible, affirming wellness experiences for Black women and women of color, who often haven’t seen themselves reflected in traditional wellness spaces. Here, everyone is seen, supported, and always welcome.
